Flamskyddad (y). Enkelkabelprovet bakom klass Eca är EN 60332-1-2 (lågan slocknar inom 425 mm). Buntade kablar provas enligt IEC 60332-3-24 kategori C (1,5 l/m, 20 min, förkolning högst 2,5 m); det är inget prov för en CPR-klass, CPR-stegprovet för B1ca till Dca är EN 50399.
