MC-HL 3/C 4/0 AWG 600 V
Nominal calculation, not one manufacturer's datasheet. The conductors are NEC Chapter 9 Table 8; the XHHW-2 walls, the grounds and the jacket are the values the makers print, and the corrugated sheath is a radial band fitted to four makers' diameters, because UL 1569 and UL 2225 were not read and no maker prints the sheath's wall. Check the datasheet before you specify or order.
By NEC Table 8 and the catalogued walls, MC-HL 3/C 4/0 AWG 600 V comes to an overall diameter of about 45.4 mm and a weight of about 4,150 kg/km.

MC-HL is the metal-clad cable of NEC Article 330 for hazardous locations (UL 1569 and UL 2225): XHHW-2 copper conductors and bare copper grounds (three in the outer interstices of a three-conductor cable, one with four conductors) cabled with fillers under a binder tape, in a continuously welded corrugated aluminium sheath and a black PVC jacket. Checked against Southwire, Okonite, Nexans and Houston Wire & Cable: research/designer-americas/mc-hl.md in the site repository.

Each layer's cross-section times its density; stranded conductors, laid-up cores and helical wires count 2 % longer than the cable. Densities: copper 8.89 and aluminium 2.703 g/cm³ (the values of IEC 60028 and IEC 60889); XLPE 0.92, PE 0.94, PVC 1.45, semicon 1.12, steel 7.85 g/cm³ (usual compound values).
