Enterprise · bid comparison

Compare bidders' schedules

Your required schedule and each bidder's offered one, row by row: a compliance matrix, the deviations each bidder declared and the ones it did not, and the age of its type-test reports.

Your files stay on your computer. Everything is read and compared in your browser: no file is uploaded, stored or sent anywhere.

An invented example: the schedule the designer writes for one 12/20 kV cable (NA2XS(F)2Y 1x240/25) and three fictional bidders, Sample bidder A, B and C. Their values, remarks and laboratories are made up to show each kind of finding.

Settings: type-test window, laboratories, tolerance

Your own schedules: Pro compares up to two bidders against one schedule; the Project pass up to five bidders and a project's cables; Enterprise any number of bidders and cables, with the exports.

Deviation register

Per bidder: first the cells that deviate without a word in its remarks or deviation column (the hidden deviations: tenders read take an offer that lists none as fully compliant), then what it declared.

Sample bidder A

  • Declared Conductor diameter (approx.): required 18.4 mm, offered 18.6 mm (off the nominal value)
    Deviation: compacted conductor, 18.6 mm

How it reads and checks

  • Columns: our designer's schedule is recognised in any of the site's languages, and so are the common headers (Required / Offered, Specified / Proposed, Guaranteed, Remarks, Deviation). For any other layout you pick the columns; the choice is kept for that file in this browser.
  • Rows are matched by the parameter's name, with small differences in wording, abbreviations and units allowed. A bidder's row that matches none is listed as an extra row.
  • Numbers are compared with their units (mm, mm², Ω/km, kA, kV, kg/km, A, °C, years). A maximum such as conductor resistance or the bending radius must not be exceeded; a minimum such as a thickness or a short-circuit current must be met; any other value must equal the required one within the tolerance it states, else the tolerance set below (default 0).
  • Words (materials, standards, classes) must name what is required; a standard given without its edition passes, marked. "As per IEC ..." or "complied" is flagged as not a value: tenders read ask for the value itself.
  • A deviation counts as declared only when the bidder writes it in the remarks or deviation column of that row; one written in the value cell or elsewhere is not taken into account (the practice of the TEİAŞ and BHEL tenders read).
  • Type-test reports: the date a bidder states is checked against the age you allow (5 years in the WBSEDCL tender read, 10 in the BHEL one) and the laboratory against your list, when you give one.
  • It is a review aid: it reads what the schedules say, not the cable. Read every deviation in the bidder's own documents before you decide.
