Cable designations compared · How to read a HAR cable code
YXC7V-R vs YAXV-R
Both designations are read in HAR. The symbols they share mean the same; the rows marked below are where YXC7V-R and YAXV-R differ.
YXC7V-R and YAXV-R differ in: YXC7V-R: C7 = Copper Screen Of Tape, Round Or Profile-Wires Over Twisted Cores; YAXV-R: A = Concentric Aluminium Conductor.
YXC7V-R
| Y | Cable Resistant To Heavy Mechanical Load For Fixed Installation | in both |
| X | Cross Linked Polyethelene (XLPE) | in both |
| C7 | Copper Screen Of Tape, Round Or Profile-Wires Over Twisted Cores | only in YXC7V-R |
| V | Polyvynil Chloride (PVC) | in both |
| -R | Multi-Wire, Round-Section, Class 2 | in both |
YAXV-R
| Y | Cable Resistant To Heavy Mechanical Load For Fixed Installation | in both |
| A | Concentric Aluminium Conductor | only in YAXV-R |
| X | Cross Linked Polyethelene (XLPE) | in both |
| V | Polyvynil Chloride (PVC) | in both |
| -R | Multi-Wire, Round-Section, Class 2 | in both |
